  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Instructions

  • Drain the rice after rinsing it in cold water.
  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium pot.
  • Add the rice and stir to combine.
  • Reduce the heat to low and cover.
  • Cook for 18-20 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed and the rice has reached the tender stage.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil while the rice is cooking.
  • Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper season the chicken breast.
  • Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  • Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes after removing it from the skillet.
  • Cook the diced carrots in the same skillet for 2-3 minutes.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes after adding the frozen peas to the skillet.
  • Stir in the cooked rice to combine with the vegetables in the skillet.
  • Whisk together the soy sauce and sesame oil in a small bowl.
  • Stir in the soy sauce mixture until well combined.
  • Serve the chicken breast over the fried rice.
