Fried Chicken Biryani with Peppers and Lemons Recipe

This flavorful Fried Chicken Biryani with Peppers and Lemons is a tasty twist on traditional biryani. The addition of peppers and lemons gives the dish a tangy and refreshing flavor, while the fried chicken thighs add a crispy texture. This biryani is ideal for a family meal or a special occasion.

Ingredients

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Cook Time: 45 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes

Instructions

  • Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes after washing it.
  • Bring 4 cups water to a boil in a pot with salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder.
  • Drain and add the soaked rice to the pot.
  • Cook until the rice is halfway cooked, then drain and set aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a separate pot.
  • Cook for 1 minute after adding the ginger and garlic pastes.
  • Cook until the chicken thighs are browned on all sides.
  • Sauté for 1 minute with garam masala powder.
  • Mix the half-cooked rice into the pot with the chicken.
  • Add the green and red bell peppers in thin slices to the pot.
  • Combine thoroughly.
  • Cook for 20 minutes on low heat with the lid on.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a separate pan.
  • Slice the lemons into thin slices and fry until lightly browned.
  • Serve the biryani garnished with fried lemon slices.
