Indian Chili Chicken with Onions and Bell Peppers Recipe

Indian Chili Chicken with Onions and Bell Peppers is a flavorful and spicy dish ideal for a weeknight dinner or a weekend meal. It's a flavorful and filling dish thanks to the combination of tender chicken, sweet bell peppers, and spicy chilies.

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken pieces, cornflour, and a pinch of salt.
  • In a pan over high heat, heat 1 tablespoon oil and fry the chicken until browned and cooked through.
  • Set aside after removing from the pan.
  • 1 tbsp oil in the same pan, fry the onion until golden brown.
  • Combine the bell peppers, garlic, ginger paste, and green chilies in a mixing bowl.
  • Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Combine the tomato tomato sauce, soy sauce, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  • Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in the fried chicken with the sauce in the pan.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice or naan bread and garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
