Indian Chicken Tikka Recipe

Chicken Tikka is a popular Indian appetiser made from marinated chicken that has been grilled to perfection. For ease and convenience, this recipe uses an oven instead of a traditional tandoor oven. The marinade's yoghurt tenderises the chicken while the spices add a delicious, authentic flavor.

Instructions

  • Combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, paprika, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and vegetable oil in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to coat.
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the chicken cubes on skewers and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred, turning once halfway through.
  • Garnish with lemon wedges and serve immediately.
